As of last week, Matt and I are back in California! We're staying with some incredibly kind friends (due to our current state of homelessness) until we leave for Ohio at the end of the month. Meanwhile, I'm doing my best to store up all the sunshine I can in hopes it will get me through a November in the bitter cold of the midwest.

how gorgeous is that!!?! you are adorable!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that pic of you and Matt. You are gorgeous. I love your skirt! Ummmm, yes,....the things we take for granted!...Jay has been feeling that (as he is living in St George during the week days, sleeping on an airmatress each night and NO TV!!!...not to mention all the other little things as well). It's a good humbling experience huh!
ReplyDeleteI am loving these daily posts of your adventures. I am so jealous of your super fantastic flight! My husband would be super jealous, he is a pilot and I am sure he would love to be in or flying that plane, it looks awesome! Question: Eric is thinking aboug joining the airforce or the reserves, he is going to talk to a recruiter today. Any advice?
ReplyDeleteYou guys look great in that picture! You are gorgeous. Hope you survive the cold in Ohio! I can't believe how much you guys have been bouncing around! I'm excited for you to get settled in Cali, you're gonna love it!
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley,
ReplyDeleteI don't remember how I stumbled onto your blog, but I have been reading it for about half a year. It's been a lot of fun because I can relate well to it. Both of our Husbands graduated from the Academy in May and we were both married this past June.
I noticed that you mentioned that you and Matt are going to be in Dayton for November. I assume Matt is attending FAM at Wright Patterson AFB? That's what my husband is doing. Fortunately we are stationed at Wright-Patt full time and live in Beavercreek, OH so we wont have to travel this time.
We actually would have met last month because Chris was at ASBC in Alabama the same time as Matt, but I didn't go with him. I had a wonderful time with what I was doing, but reading your posts about hanging out with other wives made me wish I had at least stopped by for a week.
I don't know what adventures you have planned while you are here but Chris and I would love to welcome you to the area. Ohio is beautiful and there is a lot to do.
I feel silly because I know a bit about you from keeping up with your blog. My blog is http://www.rachelmonks.blogspot.com/ (I don't update nearly as often as others) Maybe this will help catch up =)
Let me know if you are interested on getting together.
