Yesterday, Jake turned six months old.
I still can't believe he went from this...
... to this ...
... so fast! It's so much fun watching him grow and learn, but I wish time would slow down a bit so I could savor each stage a bit more. I just love that little guy. Look how much he's changed!

I couldn't help but take a few extra pictures of my little Cub with his big teddy bear.
He seriously kills me, that baby. Since I'm finally posting on his month birthday like a normal mommy blogger now, I'll be a normal mommy blogger and give a little development update, too. Jake's a happy little guy and talks and giggles all day long. We started feeding him rice cereal a few weeks ago and have since added pears and carrots, but he still definitely likes milk the best. He's been rolling over both ways for a couple months and spent the last month perfecting his sitting skills. Now he's an expert at that and is working on being more mobile. We'll set him down on his back on his playmat, and a couple minutes later, he'll be four feet away, on his stomach, facing the opposite direction. Even though he's not crawling yet (six months would be way early for that business!), he's covering a lot of real estate through a series of rolls, turns, and backwards scoots.
But he's given us a little peek at what's on the horizon.
Many exciting things to come, I'm sure.
