Matt and I snuck up to Park City this weekend for a much-needed little getaway. We had actually half-booked a Bahamas cruise for last week but canceled those plans because I just couldn't stomach being away from Jake for more than a day. And let's be honest, even that was pushing it! I'm just sort of obsessed with the little guy. Anyway, but it turns out that couple time is couple time is couple time, no matter where you are. We had such a wonderful time together.
Park City is gorgeous in the fall and we loved seeing all the vibrant colors. Matt and I stayed at Hotel Park City, which is where we mini-mooned right after our wedding. It was perfect then and it was perfect last weekend. We cuddled up on the couch, hot-tubbed on our private deck, and had a fantastic night's sleep. The next morning, we slept waaay in (heavenly!), went for a beautiful run, and visited Main Street for some window shopping. Then, naturally, we hit up the outlets on the way out of town for some shopping we can actually afford. Honestly, the best part was just being able to focus entirely on each other.
... And then come home to our sweet baby who was having so much fun with my family that he hardly noticed we were gone.
*As a side note, in case you ever find yourself in the area, we highly recommend Hotel Park City. It is so luxurious and relaxing, and their management is so gracious. Although we had only booked a basic room -- with an awesome discount nonetheless -- they upgraded us to a cottage suite at minimal cost. Okay, so note taken? Stay at Hotel Park City? Good.
Looks like a fun little getaway! =)

Squeezing in some couple time is always essential for any family with children. (despite the guilt of doing so). It looks like you two had a fabulous time .. and check out those stars!!
