USAFA Grad Week, Round Two: The Campus

Access to USAFA's "cadet area" is limited to only current cadets and staff. Alumni, regular military personnel and other visitors can easily visit the athletic areas, visitors center and chapel. But if anyone wants to see the main campus -- the Terrazzo, the dorms, the classrooms, the dining hall, the library, etc. -- they need to be escorted by a cadet. With that in mind, this was likely the last time for a long time that we'll be able to see some of our favorite parts of the Air Force Academy.

The Academy really is such a special place and it was so nice to be there again. I was so proud to show my family around the campus three years ago, and I was really happy we got to show Jake around this time. Not that he'll remember it, of course, but these pictures could be fun if he chooses to attend the Air Force Academy someday (fingers crossed).

"Bring Me Men" wall:
 Fairchild Hall:
 Matt's dorms:
Matt's squadron mural (we make great bulldawgs, clearly):
 The Terrazzo:
Good ol' Mitch's, the dining hall:
 Matt's class crest:
 The beautiful cadet chapel:
One minute, he's sliding down railings. The next, he's passed out from all the fun.

  1. I think those pictures of the Academy are so cool and wouldn't it be so neat to have Jake follow after his dad's footsteps into that same career someday! :)
