Old Pasadena Film Festival

One awesome thing about Southern California is that there is always something interesting going on. And the weather is so amazing that it accommodates all of the activities. It's a win all around.

Every weekend in July, Old Pasadena hosted an outdoor film festival showing movies ranging from the 50s to the 2000s. Matt and I found ourselves at One Colorado Courtyard for an evening showing of Barbra Streisand's "The Way we Were." It is supposed to be a classic American love story, so I was excited to finally see it and Matt was excited to make me happy. (He doesn't exactly love chick flicks.) The atmosphere was perfect for a outdoor movie in the summertime.
Unfortunately, the movie itself was pretty lame and far from what I'd deem a classic, or even a love story for that matter. Where on earth did that American folklore come from? We just didn't get it (nor did we get why the ladies all around us were crying and professing their love for said movie). But it's good to see a bad "love story" movie every once in awhile to appreciate the good ones, right? Especially the good ones in real life. I swear, mine and Matt's love story beats anything I've seen on the big screen.

  1. Yes, isn't it so wonderful when our own love story beats anything that we've seen on the big screen. I love how you put that.
