A Disneyland Christmas

Just when you think the Happiest Place on Earth can't possibly get any better, it does for the holidays. I dare you to find a more magical place at Christmastime than Disneyland.
The first sign of the holidays is the candy-cane themed "California" sign at the entrance.
Inside Disneyland, lights and garland and wreaths abound, and the whole park is adorned in Christmas magic.
This magic naturally includes snow in Anaheim and a certain jolly old mouse.
We meandered around Main Street for a bit before heading to New Orleans Square to visit the tree at the blue stairs and eat clam chowder in a bread bowl as we watched the fireworks show (which was set to holiday music, of course).
All of the rides were ready for the holidays, and Matt and I were ready for them!
Main Street is beautiful this time of year, but Sleeping Beauty's castle provides pretty stiff competition. It looks so pretty decked out in white lights!
Pretty enough to remind us that we hadn't actually walked through it yet, so we got on that stat. So cute.
By then, the park was closing so we made our way to the Christmas tree for a few final pictures.
Matt and I love big, beautiful Christmas trees--and we love a Disneyland Christmas!

"Oh I don't know, we could always go to Disneyland" (the place which most people save their pennies for and look forward to for months as a magical vacation spot)How would it be...

  9. What amazing pictures!! Makes me want to come visit CA :)

A silly question I have is how do you get so many pictures of the 2 of you together? That is one thing that is always difficult when DH and I go out somewhere..

  11. Lauren- It really is the best! Haha, and you're right about those conversations. We actually had other plans for the day we went and then we were like, you know what? Let's go to Disneyland instead.

Anonymous- Usually, we do a combination of using the 10-second timer and just asking nice-looking strangers to take them of us (actually, we usually see a family getting a half family picture, offer to take one of all of them, and then they offer back. It works out great). Disneyland is the BEST for couple pictures, though, because they have dedicated photographers all over. They'll take one with their Disneyland camera and one with yours, and it's fantastic. Other times, a cast member will see you taking a picture and just offer. And every now and again, you might have to bother a stranger :-)

Hope to do that again someday. I dont recall the CA Adventure being candycane stripes though!Do they do that every year?
